Yuletide: Dear Author
Hello! Thanks for signing up. This is my first year participating in Yuletide (though not in fandom), and, you know, I'm just happy to be here. I don't have particularly strict ideas about my requests -- these are fandoms in which I would be happy to see almost any content.
For all fandoms: any rating! sex good, gen good, chaste kisses all good.
DNWs: rape/non-con. I DNW unhappy endings or major character deaths in the first two, but King Henry IV gets a pass on account of that's very much the canon.
1: Wallflower Series - Lisa Kleypas
The Wallflowers Series! Are these books particularly modern? No they are not. Are they fantastic? Mostly! My favorite Wallflowers pairing is Evie and Sebastian, because he's a smart self-centered dumbass with low self-esteem and she's steady, thoughtful, deeply in love with him, and also totally over his bullshit. I would also be happy with Lillian/Marcus either as the primary pairing or background -- I think the books lend themselves to a madcap ensemble romp where everyone is simultaneously extremely dumb and very clever.
2: England Series - K. J. Charles
Terribly romantic, aren't they? I would love something with a plot to it, either canon or AU. Archie and Daniel working together was one of the absolute highlights of the book for me. (The other highlight was how incredibly hot it was, so I guess take that under advisement.)
3: Henry IV Part 1 - Shakespeare
Boy, did I not remember how many feelings I have about Hal until I saw this tagset posted. Whoof. What a heartbreaker. The nominated characters are Hal, Hotspur, and Kate Percy and I would be happy with 'ship or gen for this -- canon or AU, divergence from the plot or not. I don't think you can hurt me more than the original play did, but hey, I'm okay if you wanna try.
Thanks very much and enjoy!
